About Syndicate:

A platform for artists, created by artists

Syndicate is a creative ecosystem that brings together artists, industry professionals, creatives, and institutions to foster collaboration, education, and growth. It’s designed to support artists in every aspect of their careers – from honing their creative skills to navigating the complexities of the art market. Our goal is simple: to empower artists to succeed not only as creators but as professionals who understand how to operate in today’s art world (because let’s be honest, it’s not the easiest one to operate).

We do that by:

1. Clarify a Goal: Use the time to articulate a specific goal or desire more clearly.
2. Identify Obstacles: Pinpoint what’s holding them back from achieving a particular objective.
3. Develop Action Steps: Create a short, actionable plan to take the next steps toward their goal.
4. Gain Perspective: Get a fresh perspective on a challenge or decision they’re facing.
5. Boost Motivation: Rekindle their motivation and commitment to a goal.

What life and personal coaching is not

Life and personal coaching is not therapy or counseling. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health issues. Coaching is also not consulting; coaches do not provide direct advice or solutions but instead facilitate a process for people to find their own answers. It is not a one-size-fits-all approach but tailored to the individual's unique needs and goals.

How does it work

At our Creative Council program, we will be doing ‘spot’ coaching. Spot coaching is a brief coaching conversation – 1 hour of one-on-one offline session, with a 30-minute online follow-up later, once you are back home from the workshop. Spot coaching is a focused and immediate form of coaching aimed at addressing specific issues or situations as they arise. Unlike traditional coaching, which may follow a structured and long-term plan, spot coaching is typically short, informal, and targeted. It involves on-the-spot feedback and guidance intended to improve performance, resolve problems, or capitalize on opportunities in real-time.

In a brief spot coaching session, someone could:
