Mastering vibrant colors and finding your voice

Join Tania Rivilis for a 3-day art intensive in the heart of Manhattan. Under her guidance, you’ll paint for 6 hours a day focusing on color, texture, composition – that distinctive signature you know her for. Alongside that, you’ll talk about creativity, personal expression, and the ups and downs of being an artist: not just to learn Tania’s tools but to implement them in your own work and define the artistic voice that feels authentic. And to have honest conversations with the people who know exactly what you mean – your art community.

Words from our Artists

FAQ

Is it an art retreat?

The Council is a blend of a traditional workshop and rest, so you may call it a workation. Our goal here is for artists to study the master’s techniques and to explore ways to build their own artistic practice. You learn from modern masters, honor the foundations, and play around with what’s going to be your thing. But this is not a boot camp where we’ll drill you to sweat. We still want you to have a holiday and a good rest, talk openly about what moves you. We believe that creativity and inspiration are key to any development.

Who is the Council for?

The Creative Council is for emerging and established artists who want to elevate their craft. It’s for those who want to master technical skills, build meaningful connections, and understand the intricacies of the art world.

Join us if you are:
- A part-time artist aspiring to go full-time and grow as an artist, committed and ready to work
- A seasoned creator seeking to refine your voice, expand your network, and get to the next level.

How is the workshop scheduled?

The workshop dates are April 24–26 (Friday–Sunday), and here’s how it flows:
We’ll be fully immersed in the art process from morning to evening, painting, experimenting, and learning together. We have 6 hours of art classes per day with Tania Rivilis: from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm, and then from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. And as you’ll already be in the center of New York, you can finish each day with something fun to do with the team or spend the evening enjoying some you-time.

Will I be able to use the knowledge from the Council in real life?

Well, that’s the whole point: We’ll make sure that is the only kind of knowledge you get from us. Art exists in a real world with real-life rules and processes, so we focus on the things that help you develop professionally, personally, and leave your mark in the art world.
