Yes, once the team is formed up, as the first step we will arrange an online meeting to get to know each other better, discuss some questions, and see what’s next. Then closer to the event date, we will add all members to a group chat so that you can discuss all you want (expectations, stories, worries, logistics, preparations, etc.) and make new meaningful connections.

The Creative Council is open to both emerging and established artists, but basic prior artistic experience is beneficial so that you can make the most out of new techniques and creative approaches. If you are not sure whether the event is suitable for you and your level, you can share your portfolio or Instagram page with us, so we can all take a look and have a chat, so no worries.

The primary language of instruction and communiaction will be English.

While all art supplies will be provided, you may want to bring comfortable clothing for art activities and leisure and any specific items you prefer for your creative process.

During the Event

If your goal is to elevate your technique, study new artistic approach, and work on your artistic career – it’s the right fit, as we will be doing that by merging creative skill development with practical market knowledge. We aim to help you refine your technique, discover unique style, and gain a deeper understanding of the art industry, all while building valuable connections and finding inspiration.
Why you need to go:

  • Expert guidance: Learn from experienced artists and other industry experts who will mentor you through hands-on workshops, seminars, and personal sessions.
  • Market insight: Acquire essential knowledge about the art market and business side of things.
Personal and professional growth: Engage in activities designed to boost your artistic mindset, overcome creative blocks, and develop a clear growth strategy.
  • Community: Connect with fellow artists and professionals, forming a supportive network that will continue to benefit you long after the event.
  • Memorable experiences: Experiment with style with no fear and experience the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Portugal.

Unlike traditional workshops or art retreats, the Creative Council focuses not just on artistic techniques but also on market knowledge, professional development, and building meaningful industry connections. It’s about merging artistic talent with real-world strategies to help you grow as an artist. We believe in a holistic method that addresses every aspect of an artist's work and career, ensuring that you not only refine your craft but also understand how to navigate the art world more effectively.

For that, Creative Council combines art classes, expert guidance, and a creative community to support your artistic journey. The program includes masterclasses, seminars on marketing and business, and personal mentoring.

Each day will be a mix of educational and leisure activities. Your day will typically include art workshops and group seminars from morning till late afternoon, and leisure activities and some relaxation time in the evening. A more detailed schedule will be provided to all participants closer to the event.

We’ll do that together! There will be planned excursions to explore Portuguese culture and nature. You’ll have opportunities to visit local attractions, participate in wine tasting, enjoy beach outings and get to know this beautiful country.
